Research Interests

I am interested in studying the mechanisms of early salt stress responses and their contribution to salt stress. Despite significant advances in our understanding of the ionic components of salt tolerance, little is known about the early responses of plants to salt stress. By combining various approaches such as high-throughput phenotyping, transcriptomics and functional genomics I would like to disentangle which plant phenotypic traits and genetic components are contributing to tolerance in early salt stress in rice.
