Research Interests

I am driven by my motivation to contribute to efforts towards food security, one of the many challenges that are intensified by climate change. Quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa) is very promising due to, for instance, high tolerances to harsh environmental conditions. In the scope of improving the crop further, I am investigating the genetic architecture of agronomically important traits in quinoa using comprehensive phenotyping and Genome-Wide Association Studies.
